Calling all worship team members!

Practices will be Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 pm again in Fall 2009.

Similar to last year, I'd like to have 2 consistent worship teams that play either 1st & 3rd or 2nd & 4th Sundays.

If you have a friend who sings or plays who might like to join the 11:15 worship team, let me know!

I'm going to schedule in 4 blocks, Sep-Dec, Jan-Apr, May-Jun, Jul-Aug. Being deliberate about this will give space for new people to come in, and for people to take breaks if they need to.

We had a great year in 08-09 and I'm looking forward with anticipation to the coming year.

Those pesky music stands ....

I've been pondering how our worship team can have a better visual communication among ourselves ... however, Marie Page has her own rant on the challenges that music stands can be in separating singers and the congregation. Food for thought......

Looking ahead to 09-10

We have a super group of volunteers who are part of our 11:15 worship ministry. Many thanks to you all for your faithful service this year, and for your courage in stepping out and trying new things.

We are saying goodbye this fall to Andrew who has been drumming with us for many years -- we wish him the best at Calvin College this fall.

Have a friend who might be interested in joining the 11:15 worship team this fall? Let me know. We will be forming teams, and doing some prep work for fall towards the end of the summer.

In Christ,
Jen

Worship team communication live

Lately we've tried out a couple of new ways to arrange our worship team on the platform. Check out some of Andy Chamberlain's ideas on some goals as you do this. What do you think? Any ideas?
